All the teachers are professionals in their own field and have been personally trained by Ginny. Ginny has a St.John's Ambulance certficate. All Creative Movements dance teachers are CRB checked.
Laetitia Payet
Laetitia obtained a Masters of Art in Movement Studies from the Central School of Speech of Drama (2008). She also co-movement directed the devised piece The Life of Pi, produced by the first year BA Drama Applied Theatre and Education, which culminated in ten performances at the MINACK in Cornwall. Movement practices include Alexander Technique and Feldenkrais. Credits as an actor include: La Robe by Johanne Pigelet (film-Geneva) nominated at the Tel Aviv film festival in 2005, Eight Women (Le Contre-Temps-Geneva), Tohu-Bohu by Karine Coisman (film-Paris), The Goose Girl by Patrick Bittar (film-Franco-Swiss collaboration). Laetita has recently joined Creative movements and we look forwards to enjoying her numerous talents in our curriculum.
Amanda Painter
Amanda Trained at Ballet West in Scotland where she completed the dancer and teachers course and achieved up to Advanced 2 in RAD ballet examinations. She was then accepted into the company where her theatre credits include: A Cygnet in Swan lake, Clara in the Nutcracker and Coppelia. She furthered her studies in Musical Theatre at the Urdang Academy-London from 05-08, gaining a National Diploma in Musical Theatre and ISTD Intermediate Modern.
Theatre credits include: Little Red Riding Hood in into the Woods, Pippin, Diary of a Scoundrel and featured dancer at Move it, Olympia 07 and 08. Choreography for A Chorus Line at the Rada Theatre.
Amanda's main passion is for teaching. Her experience in teaching children of all ages, and her friendly, bubbly personality, is welcomed into Creative Movements!
Lauren de Boeck Lauren has trained extensively in the disciplines of Ballroom, Latin American, Jazz, Contemporary, Street, Hip Hop, New Vogue, Ballet and Modern. She has exposed herself to diverse cross section of styles by learning from some of the world’s best teachers in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the USA and now London. At age 17 she became one of the youngest dancers ever to win the New Zealand National Adult Open Ballroom Championship and has represented New Zealand several times in competitions throughout the world. She has also appeared as a professional dancer on numerous television shows including Dancing with the Stars, Stars in Their Eyes and The Singing Bee and has consistently been sought after for teaching, workshops, choreography and performances. Creative Movements is delighted to welcome Lauren who will start teaching in January 2010. We look forward to enjoying her many talents and skills.
Lorna Crundwell
Lorna trained at Bird College where she gained a BA Hons in Dance and Musical Theatre Performance and ISTD Intermediate Ballet and Tap and Advanced 1 Modern. After graduating Lorna toured in Wonderfull World/Big Easy/Shout and Fiesta Latina for Carnival Cruise Lines. Most recently she has appeared in Cinderella (Milton Keynes Theatre) playing alongside Hollywood Legend Mickey Rooney, Anthea Turner and Bobby Davro. Other Shows include The Life, Cinderella (Greenwhich Theatre) with Roy Hud and 'Move it' at Olympia. Lorna has also made an appearance on television in The Mighty Boosh. She currently teaches a variety of different styles of dance in and around London, ranging from Musical Theatre, Ballet, Tap, Creative Movement and Street Jazz. We welcome her professional approach and warm nature!
Alice Norman
From a young age Alice has trained in Ballet (RAD) Modern (ISTD), Contemporary and Choreography. She has recently successfully completed a degree in Dance: Choreography, at Northumbria University in Newcastle. She became a member of Herts Youth dance Company, 'Intrusion', giving her the oppertunity to perform across the UK. Alice has recently performed and choreographed for Platforms 10, a diverse showcase directed by graduationg students in choreography.
Alice also works for Mencap where she is currently working with young adults with learning difficulties, (Harpenden Mencap Society). She is currently teaching all styles of dance ( Modern, Jazz, Street,ballet,musical theatre) to children and adults of all ages.
