Creative Movements Sessions

Each creative movement session has a similar ‘ritual’ and format to it allowing the child to grasp the lay out so there is continuity and familiarity.

Carefully structured for each age group the session begins by introducing the theme-story. This is followed by a warm up to music and floor work which progresses into larger more flowing steps, skips and gallops covering the length of the space.

The story is read and then explored and/or enacted depending on the age group. A relaxation time follows. Lying on the floor a sari becomes the focal point and allows for a quiet reflective time.

The class is then concluded and a final good-bye ritual ends the session.
